Student Wellbeing and Support Programs

​​​​At Dakabin State High School, we provide a range of professional and confidential services to support students with personal challenges, helping them stay focused and achieve their best in the classroom. Our Student Wellbeing Team consists of three Guidance Officers (GO), a Chaplain (Chappy), a Youth Support Officer (YSO), a School Based Youth Health Nurse (SBYHN), a Student Wellbeing Professional (SWP), a Community Education Counsellor (CEC), a Beyond the Broncos Student Support Officer and Psychologists from UQ Psychology Clinic Outreach.

All the Student Wellbeing Team have specialist training and qualifications, providing support in areas of relationships, individual safety and crisis management, helping manage student behavioural difficulties, assistance with study skills, subject and course selection, and career planning and decision making and assessing students' placement and specialist support needs.
