Dakabin State High School was established in 1978 and is located on the northern side of Brisbane approximately 30 kilometres from the CBD. The school’s large feeder areas include the suburbs of Dakabin, Kallangur, Narangba, Undurba, Dayboro, Kurwongbah and Petrie.
The school has approximately 1000 students enrolled from year 7 to year 12. Dakabin State High School has developed and maintained strong community support, with academic and vocational foundations throughout its proud history.
The school has implemented a mandatory device program in Year 7 and 8 for 2023 with this continuing to be rolled out across the school for future years. This will enable access to online learning through our Education Perfect platform within the specific subject areas of English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities.
Dakabin State High School has a strong partnership agreement with the Brisbane Bullets as of 2023, and continues to deliver a world class Basketball program to our students. A Certificate III in Agriculture is one of Dakabin State High School's signature programs and continues to contribute to the strong agricultural focus of the school.
