The QCE is Queensland’s senior schooling qualification. It is a school-based qualification awarded to young people who are eligible at the completion of the senior phase of learning, usually at the end of Year 12. The QCE confirms achievement in contributing studies of a significant amount of learning at a set standard and pattern while meeting literacy and numeracy requirements.
Learning Account – Student Connect
Student Connect gives students – through the QSA website – access to their learning account and results, as well as information and links to help explore future education, training and career pathways. All students are registered with the QSA when they are in Year 10 and are issued with a Learner Unique Identifier (LUI). Once the learning account is opened, all eligible learning is recorded – at various intervals throughout the senior phase – as well as where and when the learning took place and, in some instances (e.g. for VET qualifications), the results achieved.
Students should check their learning accounts regularly to ensure personal details – including details of their subject enrolments – are correct. The Senior Schooling office is to be notified as soon as possible if any changes need to be made (e.g. change of address). Students are also able to access a QCE Planner to track progress towards their QCE.
To access learning accounts, students are required to use their LUI (located on their Dakabin SHS ID card) as their username. For first time users, please see the HOD Senior Schooling for password information. The link below will take you directly to the Student Connect page of the QSA website and also provides login information.
