Bring Your Own Device

Our BYOD program is optional at this point.

How to Participate:

  • Read the BYOD Charter which explains the program, and minimum device specifications.

  • Select a device that meets minimum specifications:

    • From a retailer such as JB HIFI, The Good Guys, etc or existing family owned device

  • Prepare the device by installing Microsoft Office software.

  • Complete the BYOD Connect Form and return it to the main office

  • Self enrol and connect to the school network with these instructions.  Ensure you are able to access network drives and printers.

  • Bring your device to the tech services in the resource centre if you have any issues joining the network.


There are a number of software packages you will get for free by being enrolled and there is no need to purchase:

  • FREE Microsoft Office: Microsoft office is available for free for students in State Schools - Includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note and Outlook. 5x Household copies per student.

  • Anti-Virus Software installed, Windows Defender ( Free with Windows 10) can be used as long as its updated regularly

  • BYOD Connection Program: We have developed an app to assist BYOD devices in connecting to printers and network drives
