Student services and support programs

At Dakabin State High School we offer a number of services that assist our students with potential issues in their personal lives. All these services are professional and confidential, and ultimately allow our students to do the best they can in their class.  

  • Chaplain

    My name is Charlie O'Bree and I am the School Chaplain at Dakabin State High School. I am employed by Scripture Union QLD, which is an interdenominational Christian organization.

  • Guidance Officer

    Guidance Officers are teachers with specialist training and qualifications in guidance, counselling and psycho-educational testing.

  • Homework Club

    Homework Club

  • School Based Police Officer

    The School Based Policing Program is a joint initiative of the Queensland Police Service and Education Queensland.

  • School Nurse

    School Nurse

  • Youth Support

    Youth Support Coordinators are employed to work within high schools to help prevent students between the ages of 15 and 17 from disengaging from educational, vocational or training processes due to social or emotional issues.
