Dakabin State High School was established in 1978 and is located on the northern side of Brisbane approximately 30 kilometres from the Central Business District. The school’s large feeder areas include the suburbs of Dakabin, Kallangur, Narangba, Undurba, Dayboro, Kurwongbah and Petrie. It is conveniently positioned with good access by road, rail and bus.
The school has approximately 1000 students enrolled from year 7 to year 12. It has developed and maintained strong community support, with academic and vocational foundations throughout its proud history.
The student body is divided into three groups: junior secondary students in years 7 and 8; middle secondary in years 9 and 10; and senior students in years 11 and 12. Both academic and pastoral care processes and procedures are planned and implemented using the junior, middle and senior school groupings.
